I’ve got an exciting announcement!!! Just My Rosy Life is getting a complete overhaul – content wise. Let me explain…
I have found that it’s too hard for me to blog about home and organization projects because then I feel pressured to get something done so I can keep up with a somewhat consistent posting schedule which means I end up rushing through the project and hating the end result. So then I usually redo the project after the post goes live. This vicious circle has taken the fun out of improving our home and I’m not okay with that. I need a lot of time in order to pull a room together – so unlike the majority of the bloggers out there that can pump out an entire room redo in a month – leaving me with the issue of nothing to write about which leads to filler posts.
The filler posts have included random life ramblings and recipes. My life isn’t all that interesting and I am no cook. I don’t have nearly enough ideas to make a go of these two topics either.
I’ve also never really felt like I was part of the diy blogging community. Instead of enjoying the process – I started hating every minute of it – and this is when I knew something had to give. I took some time to really think about what I wanted to do and realized that I never really had a clear direction for my blog. It’s only taken me two years but I discovered what I really want this blog to be about. Planning.
Some of you may or may not know that I have a YouTube channel where I film plan with me videos and I recently opened an Etsy shop selling handmade planner stickers. This is where my real passion lies. I love planning. I love looking at other peoples’ planners. I love stickers. I love washi tape. And most of all I really love the planner community. There are still cliques within this community (as with the diy bloggers) but I feel more welcomed here. Like this is where and what I’m supposed to be doing.
That being said – I will be removing every single post and making a fresh start. If there is anything you want – be sure to save it to your computer since it will no longer be available. I will also be setting up a new email subscription service so those of you that have subscribed will need to re-subscribe (which I will let you all know when that happens.) I totally understand if you choose not to re-subscribe since the content will be different and not interest a lot of you. I do ask that you at least give it a chance and maybe you will find the posts entertaining and helpful.
To fresh starts!
